How was this image captured?

Local Palm Cove photographer, Angela Willemsen, captured this amazing image of the Red moon on January 31.  Palm Cove was once again in the perfect location to view this amazing celestial event.

Here is what she had to say….

“Everything in the photo is real.  I set up half an hour before I knew the moon was coming up. I had a fair idea where it was going to rise. There was a gap in the cloud in the horizon and I captured it in a sequence of shots. Luckily the birds flew right across the moon as I shot .”
